Hi, I'm Alease! I am a mental health therapist and the founder of Iyabo's Treasure.
Named to honor my ancestors, Iyabo was given to me by my father. It is Yoruba for "Mother Has Come Back", and it is a name that I hold close to my heart every time I think about my parents.
I started Iyabo's Treasure to honor their memory, and to create a space that is uplifting for all women, especially Black women like me. Because the journey to emotional wellness is not always easy.
Sometimes, that journey starts with a pen and a piece of paper. Putting a pen to paper gives you the space to slow down your thoughts in ways that typing on a computer just cannot do.
And when you choose from our collection, you're choosing products that were designed out of an act of love, honor, culture, and legacy.
